Legalization – all areas Wage debt recovery
Input Data: A client, a Ukrainian citizen, approached me after arriving in Poland in search of work and wanting to legalize his stay in the country. He intended to obtain a Temporary Residence Permit (Karta tymczasowego pobytu) based on employment with a Polish company. The client was already employed under a work contract but was unsure of how to properly submit the documents and what exactly was required to obtain this card.
Problem: The client had certain doubts regarding the procedure for submitting documents and gathering all the necessary paperwork. He was not familiar with all the nuances and didn’t understand what specific conditions needed to be met to obtain the Temporary Residence Permit. Moreover, there was a possibility that his documents could be rejected due to errors in preparation.
Solution: I advised the client to approach the Department of Migration Affairs at the local government office (Urząd do Spraw Cudzoziemców), where the application for a Temporary Residence Permit could be submitted.
Together with the client, we prepared the necessary document package:
- Application for Temporary Residence Permit.
- Copy of the employment contract confirming official employment.
- Documents confirming financial stability (bank statements, employer guarantees).
- Health insurance for the duration of the stay in Poland.
- Photographs of the appropriate size for the document.
I helped properly complete the application and check all documents for compliance with Polish legislation requirements. I also explained to the client the importance of each document and how to submit them correctly to avoid rejection or delays.
Result: The client submitted the application to the government authority and received a positive decision within a few weeks. His Temporary Residence Permit was successfully issued. The client was able to work legally in Poland while maintaining all rights and opportunities for further integration into Polish society.
- Preparation and submission of the application: Gather the necessary documents and submit the application to the Department of Migration Affairs (Urząd do Spraw Cudzoziemców).
- Official employment: You must have a work contract confirming official employment in Poland.
- Health insurance: You must provide proof of health insurance for the duration of your stay in Poland.
- Financial stability: Proof of your ability to support yourself during your stay in the country (e.g., bank statements or employer confirmation).
- Document review: After submission, the authorities will review your documents and make a decision.
Role of the lawyer:
- Provides consultation on the correct preparation and submission of documents.
- Evaluates the situation and determines the most efficient way to submit the application.
- Helps gather all necessary documents and confirmations for the process.
- Represents the client’s interests if needed in dealings with government authorities.
- Monitors the process and helps if there are additional requests or clarifications.
Obtaining a Temporary Residence Permit is an important step for individuals planning legal stay and work in Poland. With properly prepared documents and legal support, the client was able to successfully go through the procedure and gain the ability to work legally in Poland.
