Investments and grants in Poland to support the development of sustainable energy
In 2024, Poland continues to actively implement policies aimed at developing sustainable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Considerable attention is paid to attracting investments and grant funding in order to accelerate the transformation of the country's energy sector.
State support programs

Poland actively uses financial instruments of the European Union to implement projects in the field of sustainable energy.The main sources of funding are:
- Just Transition Fund: This fund is aimed at supporting the regions most affected by the transformation of the energy sector, in particular coal regions. - It finances projects related to the diversification of the economy, the creation of "green" jobs and the modernization of infrastructure.
- Recovery and Resilience Facility: As part of this mechanism, -Poland receives significant investments for the implementation of reforms and projects aimed at decarbonizing the economy, increasing energy efficiency, and developing renewable energy.
- European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF): Funds from ESIF programs, such as the European Regional Development Fund and the European Social Fund, are used to finance a wide range of projects related to Poland's energy transformation.
Attracting private investments
In addition to state programs and EU grants, Poland is also actively working to create a favorable investment climate for private investors in the field of sustainable energy. The main activities include:
- Tax benefits: Implementation of special tax benefits and preferences for companies investing in renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and implementing emission reduction technologies.
- Guarantees and risk insurance: The Government of Poland, together with financial institutions, is developing mechanisms for guaranteeing the return of investments and risk insurance for private investors in "green" projects.- Support for the development of "green" finance: Poland actively supports the introduction of "green" financing instruments, such as "green" bonds, to mobilize additional resources for the implementation of energy projects.
Thus, Poland demonstrates considerable activity in attracting investments and grant funding to support the transformation of the country's energy sector. A comprehensive approach that combines state programs, EU funds and private investment incentives creates favorable conditions for the development of sustainable energy in Poland.
