Andrey Prykhodko Explains Risks and Fines for Ukrainians Abroad Amid Mobilization
Lawyer and founder of our marketplace Andrey Prykhodko recently gave an interview to the online portal "Focus", where he shared important information for Ukrainians abroad regarding possible fines for violating military registration rules amid intensified mobilization.
- Fine Amount: For not updating data in the TCC, an administrative fine of 17,000 to 25,000 hryvnias is imposed.
- Possibility of Fines Abroad: Citizens abroad can be fined in absentia, with notification sent to their registered address in Ukraine. Notices are not sent abroad, so one can find out about a fine only through the "Diia" application.
- Fine Collection Procedure: The fine order can be appealed within 10 days. If unpaid, the TCC will turn to the enforcement service, doubling the fine amount. If the fine remains unpaid, the enforcement service can block Ukrainian accounts and forcibly collect the amount, and if insufficient funds are available, they can seize property.
- Property Abroad: Collection applies only to Ukrainian accounts and property within Ukraine; the state cannot seize foreign assets.
